I grew up in New York riding many different kinds of horses. I was fortunate to be around a trainer who was fair and practical with her horses, as wall as disciplined with her riders. Making it clear that it’s never the horse’s fault. Through those eyes, I watched other trainers who did not follow that same philosophy. I mentally took note to all I saw. My interest was sparked and my search for a better, more effective way to work with horses began. Over time, I discovered Mr.John Lyons, (natural horsemanship trainer ) his approach to horses was a blessing to me. Providing clarity that fast-tracked my journey to where I am today.

I train using methods that are truly non-resistant, meaning the rider does not force, trap, or punish the horse into doing the right thing. I believe that using what's natural to a horse to teach him to understand and give full attention to the rider can be achieved without force, fear, or punishment. I also focus on training the rider to have self control over their mind and body, have absolutely no anger, and how to communicate with the horse through feel and timing creating mutually respect and harmony.

The more knowledge we have of how horses think, move, and behave the more we can use that to better our training. The horse is in fact the master of teaching us how to ride it truly well. As a trainer and teacher I try to preserve the natural spirit, beauty, and communication of the horse. I always try to improve myself and my students in the beautiful art of riding these magnificent animals!
